2004 Porsche Cayenne 3,2 V6 Running Rough
2004 Porsche Cayenne 3,2 V6 just started running rough today. This car is very well maintained, garaged, babied, 110k miles, 91 octane, never had any problem before.
In the past Has had water pump service, fuel pumps, axles, and more... Runs like its on 4 cylinders...any ideas? ![]()

One popular area of trouble on these are the coils they usually go at about 85K so you are way past that. It will run rough with a couple of bad ones. As mentioned pull a code and that should tell you

Just pulled the spark plug wires and 2 or 3 of the spark plugs were sitting in puddles of oil.
Removed the oil mess cleaned and dried everything with towels and electronic spray cleaner., but still runs rough like its on 4 cylinders. I know now I need that top engine cover gasket replaced, and maybe some coils.. plugs looked good. I have not pulled up any codes yet.

update 2004 Porsche Cayenne 3.2 V6
Just replaced all 6 Coils with new set. The car runs great now Also repair the top cover seal that was leaking oil into spark plug holes.
Only need to get the check engine light off now, which came on from this coil issue Will it go off automatically after a while? Or could I disconnect battery to re-set it? Thanks for the help ![]()
