Porsche Design Helmets

For sale: two Porsche Design helmets, used, both white, with extra face shields and black and red color inserts. These helmets were designed by Porsche Design and sold in the US only briefly circa 1980. They were quite expensive, and they may not have been Snell approved, so they sold poorly and thus are extremely rare today.

These were used for motorcycling and are in good used condition; they have some scratches and typical helmet wear; one has the insert taped in with Scotch clear tape, which could (with patience) be removed. Because today's helmets are so good, these helmets are probably not worth using now, but they'd make a good shelf decoration in your garage, den, etc.

$100 each, $200 for both, plus $25 for the extra inserts and visors, plus shipping. I can take Visa or MC.

These items are now sold. Thanks for looking. I recall when these helmets came out, in the 1980s. I wanted one but couldn't afford it. Apart from these two, I've never seen another!

As my first post indicated, the helmets were sold in the US somewhere around 1980. I'm unsure of the exact dates, but these two were sold originally through a BMW motorcycle dealer.
