Porsche Crest 2012 illustrated 914 calendar

I started a 2012 914 illustrated calendar over at the 914world and wanted to share it over here as well. The project started in February and I've spent roughly 300 hours illustrating and designing, and just finished it up. I know there is some overlap but it may be new to some of you. It contains 6 illustrated 914's from members of the world and the club. If it goes well I'll do another next year, and then a tail dragger for 2014.

Finished size will be 12x13.5, single sided, wire bound on top
cost will be $25 US +shipping
I need to sell 100 to send to print.

Once I have 100 takers I'll send to print and setup an etsy account to make ordering easy.

Also:
High quality prints of the illustrations in the calendar can be purchased at Charles Council - 914 fine art prints at Imagekind.com
Illustrations are designed to be printed at 20x16 @ 500dpi and are printed using the Giclée printing process, a digital printing method specially formulated so that the print heads spray fine droplets at a resolution of up to 1200 dpi, using archival based inks and media that can last 175 years. Several fine art quality papers, canvas, as well as framing and sizing options are also available.

thanks for viewing
peace,
Chuck

Wow. Those are brilliant. Great work. Truly gorgeous.

Just came across this post. I followed your link. I find it interesting these are created in Illustrator. Do you use a digital pen, or tablet? I ask since drawing with a mouse is quite 'removed' if you know what I mean, as far as hand-eye-mind coordination goes.

I love them all, but especially the "Strenger Six" (as they called it in Excellence - at least it looks like that one) with the shadow in the background.

P.S. I see you're in NY and have a yellow 914 (in your avatar). It isn't by chance a yellow 914-6 with Mahle wheels is it? I saw one once. And here's some images I've created: Custom renderings! . Admittedly, nowhere near as involved or as beautiful as yours!

Again, Terrific drawings chuckc!

Take care!

Hey thanks, I appreciate the compliments. I use a mouse for most things, sometimes I start out drawing by hand.

pm me and I'll send you a calendar for the cost of the stamps. I have a few I printed out for friends and family. All of the cars in the calendar were done with the owners permission -- that is the Stenger Six, good eyes. Porsche wasn't keen on the calendar so I didn't print a bunch to sell.

My 914 is a 4 that one of these days will be a suby swap. I have a long way to go before it's there.

Your 3D's are off to a good start. It's hard enough to do 2d let alone the time it would take to get all of the details into a 3d rendering.

You should checkout deviantart.com if you haven't already. I've learned a lot from the artist there. I haven't posted all of my Porsche illustrations there but have several newer illustration up. CouncilC on deviantART

peace,
Chuck

I'd like it a lot better if it didn't have George's car in it.

Regardless, that's nice work.
