Boxster tranny question

Hi, Im new to these forums, and I have a question regarding the Boxster. NOT the S, but the regular one.
I know that it comes with a 5 speed manual. Does anyone have any info on the transmission? Maybe a Transmission code or something.
Is there a six speed upgrade for this tranny?
Last question is, I have heard that the tranny from a boxster is the same one for the VW Passat 1.8t. Can anyone confirm this?

What I am basically getting at is, if its true, I am looking for a 6 speed tranny made for a boxster so that I can use it for my VW Passat. :D

sounds like an interesting swap, unfortunatly I know squat about newer porsches, Aircooled VWS is my area of knowledge
