VW Golf Cruise
I know this is not a nice porche or bmw but im looking for help with my brothers 94 VW golf Turbo Diesel. The cruise dont work, and the dealer said it was the chip and quoted a crazy price to replace. Can somone help me out, maybe used parts price where it is to replace myself and stuff. Its a older car and cruise is very nice but not worth like 800 cdn on a older car for something so small.........

it depends what year it is, if its an older one ot could be a vacuume problem, the allerator actuator is operated by vacuume, and diesels don't creat a great deal of vacuume. so I'd assume it'd have a vacume pump.
on a newer one if its a computer problem theres nothing a guy can do but shell out the money.
