Flywheels

would a 912 flywheel mate to a Type 1 crank without being modified?

how about a 356?

and would either and/or both work with a Type 1 engine and a 914 tranny?

from what I've been told the 912 flywheel should bolt up to a type 1 engine no prob, this is a common way of adapting the Type 1 engine to mate up to a porsche box in a beetle.

yes it should work with a 914 tranny, but I wouldn't use a 914 tranny in a beetle if thats youre planned aplication, would have been much more expensive than just buying a 901 from a 911.
