Dual gauge types?

So i have an aim dash in my race car with oil pressure and temp gauges in the usual 6 cylinder engine locations on the engine and tied into the pdm/aim logger. I also have a gorgeous set of traditional gauges i would like to put back in as my primary with the aim dash to the side for alarms and times etc. Where else can i tap into for the analogue sensors to get BOTH to work accurately at the same time? Mechanic telling me that using chain box lines will not read as accurately as standard locations. Anyone try this?

Hi 1973914

It would probably help to know what chassis and engine you're working with to understand the situation better.
Oil pressure should be pretty simple. On many cars you can splice it behind the oil pressure switch with a "T" fitting like the one pictured below

Thanks so much for the response Matt. Car is a 914-6 built to a GT with a 2.4 twin plug. Race only use.

Car has oil pressure and oil temp digital sensors at normal locations already so you would propose adding these to those and running analogue to.the side? First two pics should show sensor locations. Last is glamor shot lol.

Do you know what the correct pitch and thread sizes I would need for those 2 locations?

I can't say I'm all that familiar with that motor myself but since it's a Porsche engine the 911 engine rebuilding forum might be a good place to ask: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-engine-rebuilding-forum/

My personal experience with that "T" is it's commonly used on german and domestic engines to run oil lines when adding a turbo setup but I don't see a reason why it couldn't be adapted for an oil pressure gauge.
