Can I Swap a 1600 cc VW engine into my 1972 Porsche TArga 6 cilinders???

If yes, where Can I do this work, I live in San Diego, California.

I'm sure you can, but why would you.

BlackTarga,

Unless you happen to have a 1600cc VW laying around, why don't you use a type 4? Check out my site and see how well it fits. BTW, I am very close to San Diego... I'm in Temecula.

Tony what about a wrecked 912e with very good engine and trans and interior into a 1980 cab conversion??? i am thinking of doing this at the moment since I bought a 912e(wrecked)

FenderGuy,

I think we are both on the same Rennlist too! Yep, you should be able to do that conversion. Do you have smog checks in Az? The 912E barely passes Ca smog limits for 76 when perfect. No way it would pass 1980's standards.

What are you doing with the 914? I got one that needs everything...

Yup we are Tony B :D Smog is not a problem here. Check out the 912 forums I posted pics in there on both cars. As for teh 914 sorry Tony if you needed parts I would have given really cheap as I recall I sold a lot of parts off that car for cheap but that was back in 1998 ...car is long gone...
