OT - Point me in the right direction ......

..... or would someone mind a straight broke my VW fri Night, what gives Question ??

This was the first BBS - VW related i found in a web search - how ever I see it is more related to Porsche, BMW execpt for this thread on putting Porsche into your VW - so if anyone knows of a VW only BBS I'll be glad to go there other wise here is what happened -

my 69 bug [1500 single port] started running badly fri night, poping through the intake quite loudly - so i shifted to netural, left off the gas and coasted to the side of the road [Had been doing 80] - sat when I check it Out I found a broken Exhaust push rod on # 2 - so I scrounged through my many engines pulled several Push Rods from old motors. Changed the broken out out and the Exhaust on # 1 as well - it showed similer wear patterns around the shaft [ like it was rubbing on something] so I got it started but it runs like only 3 cylinders are firing - something is wrong on the 1,2 cylinder side of the motor - the exhaust pulses from that side are only half as forceful

I am not sure what else to include for info - other than it running like crap -

Any Idea would be apreicated b4 I tear down the Motor  looking for the problem [ Hey If I Have to Tear it Down so be it , ;) I just do not want to go there if I dont have to  ]

Thanks in Advance
