Cooling options

well I know of three different cooling options for a type4 engine,

1 is the type 1 style cooler, adapted using tsome of the type4 tin
2 is the Oregon Performance's DTM shroud
3 is the porsche style shroud

what other kinds of cooling is there out there for the type4/914 engine, that would fit under the decklid of a Bug?

Richert, I believe has a cooling system, belt driven, that blows air downward upon the engine by a fan spun about a vertical axis (unlike any other VW/Porsche).

I don't know about reliability with the way the belt is run, as well as the fact that I believe that it doesn't have any flaps, which can lead to start up wear.

I posted Richert's address a while back in the sleeper exhaust post...

An oil cooler in the air stream will have much more impact on cooling vs fans blowing air over the cylinders.
