porsche brakes

i'm building up an electric karmann ghia street racer and i was wondering if any of you knew what kind of brakes i should be putting in. i've seen people with 944t brakes. does anyone know how hard they would be to fit and if they will work without the power boost? i want it all manual. Thanks

I'm planning on using 944 brakes on my '54 beetle

here's a good place to start http://community-2.webtv.net/vw911/Porsche2VWBrakes/page5.html

very good page, covers the basics of the conversion
