914 exaust to 72 vw bus

ive been thinking of building a vw type4 engine for my bus with a little more power. Anyway, there are very few mild performance exuasts for the late model vw bus so i started looking at 914 exausts, the early style 914 and the early(72-74) and late(78-83) style bus look very similar. Will an aftermarket early 914 exuast fit vw heat exchangers?

It depends - what year is your bus - or more importantly - what year heat exchangers will you be using?

stock heater boxes... someone told me a cheep solution to heater boxes on a 912E was to put bus heater boxes on it with a 914 exaust. Just trying to get a little better proformance out of the bus (and make it a little noiser too)
