turbo porsche motivation for a bug

I recently sold my Beetle and am of course going through air-sucker withdrawl. I had to buy a work truck, but this is only a temporary arrangement. I thought that while I'm taking this break from VWs I would tinker with the idea of a turbo Porsche engine in a Beete so when it's time to buy another VW I might have a project planned out. I've heard of extending the back end to fit a 6 cylinder, but I really don't want to do that. Does anyone know of a conversion kit, or tutorial, or any kind of guidance to fit a 6 cylindar turbo in the back of a Beetle? Keep in mind that I plan to go full-tilt with this project, so sacrificing daily-driver luxuries is expected. This car will probably be a good weather/weekend toy. Thanks for any help you all might have.

to fit a porsche six into a bug you have two options.
1. extend the rear end (looks uglier than a dozen nekid fat ladies eating raw catfish)
2. build a custom chassis and go midengine.

my advice, if you like porsche power, stick to a type4 (914) engine. you can get the shroud kit that makes use of a 911 alt/fan. they can be built out to 2.8L and the parts are much less expensive than the six. plus you don't have to modify your bug at all to make it fit.

my $0.02
