Post New Forum? what's the focus?

Is this forum aimed at the crazy people like me that are putting Porsche parts on and in our VWs?

I have a 2001 Jetta GLS, 1.8T with the sport package....
Any idea of sites that have information on direct upgrades for my specific vehicle?

Hello

Yes i think this forum is focused on the VW & Porsche issues as the VW was founded by Porsche and they shared very much parts and technolgy.

Most people on this board seem to denie facts and think VW is a "lesser Porsche" or even not a car at all.

From my sight i think Pelican wantet to give us grazy nuts a place to exchange things without hiting the feelings from the "real" Porsche fanatics who eat, drink and $hit ( Well this is nearly a direct qoute from Frank Zappas Talking Acchole see dial a poem records ) Porsche.

Also Pelican stocks many shared items and used parts who can have a saleing potential on the VW marked. So I think they would like to have some VW Experts and some discussions going on here.

Fact is that I´m mainly on http://www.shoptalkforums.com/bbs/cgi-bin/Ultimate.cgi and try to help there on typical "Boarderzone" questions.

If I would be a pelican manager I would have made a direct link to shoptalkforums and vice versa.

The Theme is just to hughe for one board and frequency is very low.

@mikel

Finding parts and informations for new VW is very simple and you can visit the typical tunersites like Neuspeed, techtonics, Eurosport, Autotech, GPR, ABD racing, Votec,

Also there is a very good board on http://forums.vwvortex.com from first habd user opinions.

Other good links:

I've used a fair number of "VW" parts on my Porsche. All the same to me if I can drive another day.
