928 6 speed auto?
Is any one doing and or having luck with a corvette 6 speed auto in a 928?my 80 euro 928 sbc pulls spooky hard hence the blown out 2ed gear syncro. P.o. says the motor dynoed out @ 430hp ,I'm suspecting a new and expensive transmission fix won't last no longer than the previous 2 so now I'm plotting the most effective way to go about a gear box that will stand up to this motor after I install the supercharger I'm have in mind. H.p. 2me is like money or sex ...hard 2 tell when you got too much even after its no longer good 4u..any and all though \opinions \quips are welcome

You can take dimensions are have a mount built for a hell of a a lot cheaper...

Let me get this straight. ..I supply the corvette transmission, torque tube, bell housing . Then 928ms supplies 9,000$ worth of michine work ....4 that kind of money I could get a complete corvette rolling chassis with an LS engine attached. My 28 all ready has a renagade 350 with is to much 4the transmission, I've already blown out 2ed gear syncro. I don't believe in babying a car although I take good care of them. I'm trying to figure out the most cost effective way to build my dayly driver that also just happens 2b a real supper car..

Easier cheaper way, move the gearbox to the front. bigger choice of gearbox, didn't affect the balance on mine.(3UZ Lexus engine is all alloy)
