993 vario engine in 75 coupe
Hi
I own a 75 911 coupe I want to put a 3.6 in. There is a 3.6 vario for sale but it is from an 911 with a tiptronic engine. Can I use the engine and ecu for my 911? Does the ecu control the tiptronic ? Also would I like to know wich trans to use. I have a 915 and a930 , wcich one is the best for this engine? Thanks Nikolaj |

Welcome Nikolaj,
Your car is an 2.7 with 915 mag case transmission and mech speedo. The main problem is that you need an special flywheel/clutch/disc/TOB setup to be able to use the 915 but not in stock form because it will not last long...930 4 speed is out of the question as it has very tall gearing for an N/A engine...I have no idea if the engine DME also controls the triptronic... You can sell the 930 to help you build an capable 915... JIM |
