Porsche Crest Swap Boxster S 2000 engine to a 997 3.8L engine

My 3.2L engine blow out and I found a 3.8L 997 engine here in Brazil with all Electronic! A really complete engine!
Could you please help me and give me more details how I can install this 3.8L engine in my 986 Boxster S 2000? What more I need?
I don’t have much more alternatives here in Brazil and I have access to all Carrera parts I need! This is a complete car at a dismantler!
So, If you can say to me what I need to take from This 997 to work in my Boxster, I can take! (gauges, sensors,…)
What will be inoperative if I make this swap?
Thanks for your help!

what year are both cars ? You can most likely do it just need to know the years and that would help to let you know how much you need to change out.

About 3 years ago I attended a technical review at the NSW Porsche Club where an overview of the modifications needed to fit a GT3 motor into a Boxster. They were extensive, including entire replacement of the dash, metal fabrication to accomodate the mounting points, changes to clutch and throttle controls, and much more. It was intensely expensive and involved.

I dont own a Boxster but I understand much of the challenge stems from the electronics and from the need to "flip" the motor 180 degrees to accomodate its mid-engine placement vs where the 997 normally resides.

Fun ride tho.
