Chris, tell me about your radiator? Pusher or Puller? Size of the radiator and fan? Spal? You cut it into where the old oil tank went? Great build!

Yan

Yan
The fan is a 3800 cfm puller I cut very little where the oil sump was and did a small amount of duct work to scoop the air. It is a 2 row honda civic radiator. Thanks.... I just want to drive it again.

I had it tuned at 342 hp on the dyno but ran into fuel problems so I re-did the fuel lines and got a monster fuel pump just waiting to go back on the dyno. The tuner said I should be between 450 and 500 hp.

Chris, I am a little confused. I thought I saw somewhere that you got a RH radiator up front? Do you have two radiators running?

I did buy one and was going to have it installed up front but the fabricator did not like the idea of running the lines under the car, so he came up with that idea. He works on Evo's.

Chris, I just ordered another temp sensor for my motor. The factory installed sensor always seems higher then the gauge. I still have issues at 3500 to 4000 rpms. I have never over heated but I have got to 240 F! When I let off the gas the temp drops right down. I am curious to see how your engine works at a high rpm. In fact, I would love everyone who has an LS1 to drive their cars at 4000 rpm's for 5 to 10 miles and let me know what temps they get by using a computer attached to the obd2 connection. Normal driving conditions the car is always 168 to 205 but since I don't have a taller 5th gear when I hit the highway for long distance I still have to be keeping the car under 3500 rpms! I realize that you don't have an LS1 but I am curious to see how your motor cools with that rad radiator setup!

I never really drove far yet but. it was on a dyno for several hours on a humid 80 deg day doing several back to back pulls and stayed at 190. When I have my ECU hooked up to my laptop it runs 20 deg cooler then the elect auto meter gauge.

I am using the Toy Jet system. I really wish a couple of LS guys could let me know what their temps are when at high rpms. Even the guys with tall gears when they drive down the road in a lower gear at 4000 - what are their temps on the LS temp sensor (factory installed)... for front and rear radiators. I have a good sized radiator and by math it should do the cooling. I am not sure that the LS motors were meant for high rpms and therefore the real answer is tall gears or a larger radiator...

I wish I put in a taller 5th when I did the conversion. I just don't want to drop the motor especially if there is another solution...
