Best Non-Invasive Transmission Swap for 911? 091 VW?

Toying with the idea of resting my stock engine/trans but only if it can be done non-invasively; ie, return to stock Porsche without cutting/welding involved. I've been engine swapping in other makes for over a decade so not my first rodeo.

Anyone here done a non-Porsche trans with their non-Porsche engine swap? HP with the swap would be 400-500 and on a stock numbers matching 915 that wouldn't be a wise choice.

Mendeola trans. would be a good option for hp like this.

The problem with Mendeola gears (and many aftermarket VW gears) is that the heat treatment lasts only 30,000 street miles .. maybe less if high horsepower is often used.

Is the mendeola a direct fit? Speedo etc compatible? Price is high enough that a g 50 is worth looking at.

Hmm, didn't know that. Maybe Subaru swap then?

Debating doing a fwd Subaru trans with a ring and pinion flip kit from subarugears.com. Still very early in my research though.

Custom axles is of one concern.
