Ls1 Conversion

i have a 1985.5 944 NA that i have been seriously considering a LS1 conversion with a AOR strengthed trans, ive also been considering a 2Jz/1jz conversion also but cant find any information for that one.
considering the LS swap.
1. how much is the initial swap usually? parts, labor, time.. ect.
2. it would be a daily driver, meant to be driven everyday on the exception of rainy days, so is there a specific build i should be looking for? LS3 heads, ls6 block blah blah.
3. lastly in your own personal opionion, is it worth the time, money? I would love to do the swap because i love the look and handling of the 944 but want more power and less maintainance of the normal 8v engine.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1481312856.jpg

Not 944 ,but the 2J conversion into a 928 has been done here in Australia. similar sized engine bay. Very heavy engine. the 1UZ/3UZ is all alloy, much lighter around 100 pounds from memory . 3UZ NA makes near identical power as a 2JZ TT
google Xschop he is on other Porsche forums, definitely done 944 LS conversions, and was playing with a Toyota/Lexus V8
