Smart move.

Take what most people think and add $20K.

It's always better to start high - and then go down. I would too.

Bet you were not interested at $46K though.

I asked what he wanted out of if, mo response, he didn't know if I was real or not, not like I'm a newbie. My Porsche background goes back to the 80s, my family background to the 50s. And I currently own 3 911s, 4 914s(1 being a matching numbers 914-6, and a GT clone. A944s,Tricked out 924S(968 running gear) and track prepared 968, no I'm not new or a poser, then there are the Porsches that I'm partnered in, including a 356 Speedster and 77 930.
So Porsche runs deep in my blood. Matt has done some Transmission work for the 77 930.
I stand on my history and background, which includes much more than I have listed.

Byron with your history you don't have to convince anyone here. He probably got an entire mailbox full of PMs and then decided to go full on. At the time he probably didn't know what he wanted, never mind if he really wanted to sell it. I wouldn't take it personally - he probably got confused.

930

It may be a good project for the right guy . Consider the cost to build out a steel widebody , and when your done its not an original 930 . Good g50 (4/5k) , turbo calipers and turbo trailing arms again $$$. If the chassis is solid this could be a great car for someone not concerned about matching numbers . This car should have value of around 40k if you were to part . Its not a 20k pile as someone mentioned.
