That black car sold where it did because it’s an original g50 car. No 915 and no chassis mods to fit the G50. Clean and simple install to add the turbo engine. And the Nagnus Walker wheels. Those are like Martini stripes, worth a $5k price bump.
Yeah, can't believe he dropped >$10K for a 915 rebuild, a 915 !@#&!

38k mile unicorn had absolutely no bearing on the broad market. This could sell for 700k and your 130k mile driver is still a $36k car

Is a $36k car a sign of the burst bubble Suga?

All depends on the condition (plus options) of that 130k mi driver...in fact, condition should be the dictator when buying or selling....not so much mileage. I know many are butt hurt that prices have risen (in the past 10 years) but to many owners thatís a plus. Yes prices have come down(as of late) but $15k drivers are done with for now. If youíre a buyer and find the perfect car for you that is in the condition, color and options you desire you may need to pony up and straighten your crocodile arms, to dig a little deeper in those pockets.....if youíre just shopping for any aircool 911 then chances are you may find one at a decent price.....but be warned...you will pay now...or later...but you will pay

Among things I will never understand is driving cars like that in the snow.

I'm in the bubble has burst crowd. It's more like a slow leak than a burst. And like previous bubbles, be it stocks, real estate, what have you, it's not a straight line down. There will be ups and downs short term with a long term downward trend. And there will also be the oddball crazy high prices along the way.

That's not to say that air cooled 911s will be $10K again. But I can see 100K mile coupe drivers mid $20s again in the not too distant future. The entire runup has been based on increased demand. The supply has not changed. That demand can't be sustained forever and a lot of the demand was driven on pure hype. People who couldn't pick out a 911 from a lineup 10 years ago all of a sudden had to have one because it was THE THING to have. And like all fads, eventually a shinier new object comes along and that crowd moves on to it.

Having said that, if you find the perfect one for you at $35K, what the hell. Life is short, don't put off a decision to buy the car you really want so you can save $10K. That's how I view life in general. Within reason, buy things that make your life happier, don't try to squeeze out every last dollar out of a deal while driving yourself crazy in the process.

100k mi coupe for 20s I am buying in less its needs a new motor or is a rust bucket.

And, if you find a perfect one for 35k pm me because I'll buy that two. Never seen a perfect one anywhere near 35k.

Supply has increased..... cars long lost in garages and where ever have been cleaned up and pushed to market for several years. What we're seeing now is the really good cars are still bringing money. The pigs with lipstick have been fallen. The 930 market is a great example. Three years ago they were six figure cars. Now you can buy very nice drivers for much much less. I don't see them going back to $40k or $50k cars but good luck selling anything but a super low miles excellent car for over $100k, unless its something special.

Are you from the future? If you read what I wrote I said $20s is coming, not here now.
Also I didn't say $35K is a perfect car, I said "perfect for you", ie it meets your needs. And no before you reply I didn't mean YOUR needs, as in you specifically, I meant generally speaking.

Geez man come on.

You arenít describing a bubble. You are just talking about market fluctuations. You are in essence saying what I think, that there is no bubble and it ainít gonna pop.

Here we go again. 72 E, Viper green, with prior accident damage left rear, what appears to be repaint on right side and MFI traded off for carbs.

Peanut Gallery is hoping for $110-120K.

"Peanut Gallery is hoping for $110-120K. "

I'm guessing over $125k. However, I am biased as Sepia is my favorite color.

No, Yel...!

Looks like the peanut gallery was a hair low on their estimate.

Looked to me like the entire right side was painted. Also paint failure on the fenders above the strut towers.

Mostly original (how much is debatable) appears good enough. Patina doesn't hurt unless it's a bejeweled Singer or something like that.

Ironically, a client I was advising on other cars (in a much lower price range) impulse-bought the Viper car. He was aware of the paint and body damage, but I get that looking for the perfect car is tiring. And the car has other virtues.
