But you take a stock air-cooled 911 and turn the key, and it's a blast to drive, you see my point?

This is the Celica pictured with the USS ADAM.

lol @ a stock 911 being a "blast" to drive

I have officially joined the water cooled group.
Where do you check the coolant?

And are you saying that you're having difficulties finding the hole, Deez?!?! Maybe some of the other D's blue bombers would help!

Haha. Iíll be doing as much of the maintenance as I can Matt.

I did back out of the black car due to unknown damage. Had paint work at some time and current owner didnít have details.
So I got the silver car. I like the color better and the interior is full leather option. No Alcantara on the seats or doors.
The only negative is the electronics upgrade. I could do without 13 year old navigation and a phone that doesnít work...

Congrats. Full leather makes a big difference in the interior quality.

These guys are the go to for DIY electronics upgrades or have them do it if you are local. I recently did a double DIN install on my C4S. If yours has the factory navigation it is easier. Highly recommend them. www.cai-store.com

Thanks. I do know them. They are local to me.
It does have the navigation and phone system. I'm not sure what can be done with it due to the phone that is obsolete. I probably will just leave it stock other than get some steel rotors and separate pads for track use. It also still needs the coolant mod performed.

Check the cool phone next to the screen.

Yep, I’d just ignore the stereo and phone and listen to the engine!

This will be a good metric of the 996 market. The price of junk doesn’t matter. what nice cars sell for defines the market.

Cab's routinely sell way way below coupes. Usually old dudes and ladies like cabs.

Well, I'm an old dude and I like ladies (and Cabs), so I guess that justifies all those convertibles I've owned.

Sunny places like Colorado and California are littered with them. Cabs that is. Often it's not old dudes driving them. I bet there's a ton in Florida too.
