Actually looks easier as you're driving road corners at times at LR, not just spotting cones. And I've yet to be at an AX where I didn't get at least 8 runs.

But I get it. SW doesn't like PCA events. Too many gray hairs where you actually have to socialize with real people.

I spent a half-day co-driving in David Geisinger‘s Limited Edition 1974 Porsche 914. We passed forgotten villages and vast fields home to cows who would pause as we cruised past, their large brown eyes following the line of cars down the road. Our feet and hands were a tad cold, but the car couldn’t have been happier. “The little four-cylinder that could” earned its bragging rights after tackling a round of elevating, hill-climbing esses. One incline was so steep that David and I rocked forward in unison in hopes for extra momentum. We were acting silly, of course. After seven days straight of driving from his Boston, Massachusetts home to the Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance, David’s 914 won the Werks Reunion Porsche Corporate Award held by the Porsche Club of America.

Such a great version of that song and one Dio would no doubt approve of - I've watched that vid probably a dozen times since it came out. That fem's vocals are nothing short of amazing to me (on many of their band's other songs and covers as well). Dio is one of my all time favorite power vocalists, and I really enjoy seeing people's covers of his work.

No, I did not see that.

I saw Dio headlining, with W.A.S.P as the opener, around that time (might have been 1985, or 1986, not sure), in an arena in Omaha, NE. I saw Magadeth at the same arena, but can't remember the year or who was the opener.

I never saw Savatage in an arena setting, but did see them twice playing in a bar in Dallas called, "The Dallas City Limits" (long closed for business), in the early 1990s - that was really something.

The funny thing about that thread (like I mentioned in it), is in addition to dismissing the need for power and speed in a car for it to have "soul", all the necessary soulful qualities described are exactly what my 1990 E350 diesel box truck has (all analog, temperamental, not focused on speed, unique handling and braking, makes lots of rattles and other strange noises when being operated, etc.) - guess that big, old, utility bisch is overflowing with soul, and visceral!.

I can do a little research to confirm but I don't remember any E350 box trucks winning the Targa Florio or Le Mans, so I think we are talking about a different set of cars...
