Strange contest. They are selling 'chances to win' in blocks of 1000's of entries. I asked how many "chances" are being sold and received no response, but the small print says the 'odds of winning depend on the number of entries' sold. They even offer 2000 entries for free. The PCA yearly contest is clear with defined odds, put your money there.

So great to see the innovation going into these conversions. Itís not about the performance gains, itís about the vision and ability it takes to adapt a 50 year old machine to contemporary systems. If youíre a true enthusiast theyíre all beautiful.

I don't know anything about Tesla electric motors (other than they go warp speed), but maybe they are cooled via external exchangers and some kind of fluid.

I wondered the same thing. Or maybe the gearbox.

I'd never thought about it before, but it stands to reason that when a devise spins from nothing to max, huge power in just a couple seconds, that the heat generated must be remarkable.

It's for the same reason why this other thread exists.

I'm not sure a 912 that does 0-60 in 4s is a sheep...

It sits on the other extreme. That torque is useless without the rest of drivetrain upgraded to match. Not surprised at the reaction. I'm not a fan.

Why does it need oil lines or did they just leave them in place?

M2 and I speculated about that in posts 24-26, but don't know for sure.
