Not sure “proper” and “hot rod” go together??? Hot rod is very much about personal taste. If it were mine, I would bump the engine to a 2.5, upgrade to period Recaros and period MOMO, and 7”s.

Been watching this one, like 76 said, too bad it doesn't have a bigger engine as id be more interested.
|
Hotrod? What’s hot rod about it? It’s a T with a stock engine and 915. Not saying it’s a bad car and it appears to have been gone through and serviced properly. But I’m sorry, if you rebuild a T and don’t at a minimum put in some higher compression pistons and regrind your cams you get no props from me for your “hot rod” build.

Cold Rod...

I'd rather have this, which is surprisingly still for sale.

If it stays on the market much longer I'm gonna have a hard time not making an offer...

Amazing that the terribly performing five blade fan appears to still be on that thing.

And...it's a Targa. "Hotrod Targa" is an oxymoron. Nomex suit on. |
|
Hot rodding a targa is like hot rodding a cab. Dose t make sense.
|
The poor 73's with their funky bumperettes to meet safety standards. So sad.
