Not sure “proper” and “hot rod” go together??? Hot rod is very much about personal taste. If it were mine, I would bump the engine to a 2.5, upgrade to period Recaros and period MOMO, and 7”s.

Been watching this one, like 76 said, too bad it doesn't have a bigger engine as id be more interested.

Hotrod? What’s hot rod about it? It’s a T with a stock engine and 915. Not saying it’s a bad car and it appears to have been gone through and serviced properly. But I’m sorry, if you rebuild a T and don’t at a minimum put in some higher compression pistons and regrind your cams you get no props from me for your “hot rod” build.

Agree. That is a sweet car for the money. And it's local to the OP.

Amazing that the terribly performing five blade fan appears to still be on that thing.

To play devil's advocate...the fact that it's an "E" should make it easily worth the ask, BUT, it doesn't have the E engine (the very thing that makes an E so collectible), it's got a carbureted 2.7 with head studs that "checked OK." :rolleyes: It's got some expensive suspension mods, but are they the ones you'd have used? The fenders have been flared, no pics or info to indicate the quality of the work, but in any case, it's a longhood with an altered body, so now you've eliminated a big chunk of longhood buyers. The interior is a little ratty. No pics of the underside, what's the rust situation like?

And...it's a Targa. "Hotrod Targa" is an oxymoron.
