Communicating on this aged forum

I have found acouple porsche’s that ive tried to inquire about but it wont let me post a reply in the listing. Says i cant - which is fine, but when i dig and dig and
Dig i cant find where to message people selling cars. When i click someones profile it says i cant even view it. Getting super frustrated. Can someone please help me.

The Cars FS forum is locked on purpose. Too many people, not interested buyers, used to trash talk cars.

You need a certain post count to send a PM. Many of the listings have phone or email contact. But if you want to do it within the forum software you need to start making posts. Check out off topic, or comment on some tech threads. Maybe turn this thread an introduction? Tell us who you are and what you’re interested in, just to pad your account.

I ran into a similar issue with my account. I was never much of one to post... mainly used the forums as research material (for every car problem I encountered, there was a solution already captured). When I wanted to purchase something from the classifieds,I was locked out from posting or PM the user (my post count was zero).

Ended up just sending a general "help" inquiry explaining that I didn't want to spam a bunch of threads simply to acquire the ability to PM a user... within 24 hours, my account had permissions changed and I could PM.
