Carpoint Parts
Has anyone bought directly from Carpoint? They carry some parts that Pelican does not have and wonder if it was a positive experience?
Thanks, Joe |

Hi Joe,
Last month I purchased a tilting seat bracket directly from them without incident. I was actually surprised it arrived within a couple of weeks. Part was exactly what I needed. Hopefully others will chime in with their experiences as well.

Bought their alternator/fan housing a couple of years ago. Easy transaction and arrived very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.

They don't just make parts but manufacture as well. Chances are you may already have some of their stuff if you shop stateside with any of the usual suspects.

I think 'make' means the same as 'manufacture'.....

No. Sometimes you own the factory. Other times you pay someone to make your parts in their factory for you.

Oops. I think everyone's right here. I actually meant to say that they don't "just make parts but manufacture as well" but Matt's not wrong either. Point being that they're a serious company doing good work to support the hobby.

So they MAKE parts, and MAKE them for other brands, right? Is that what this is all about?

I needed 2 seatbelt brackets. Usual suspects were $115 - $120 for 2. I ordered from carpoint as it was $83 shipped to me. Via Fedex. I had ordered a dash from them a while back and it was shipped super fast and competitively priced so i figured i would try them again.Came in 3 business days from Germany (to CT). Pretty happy with them, and the speed. Maybe strength of dollar vs Euro makes it more affordable now.

I had the pleasure of visiting Carpoint after I sold a vintage Scheel seat to Andreas who's the owner and personally delivering the seat. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them, stand up guys that are true enthusiasts too.

Primarily based on the positive feedback for Carpoint and the poor quality reputation for new Porsche and/or OEM rocker arms, I just ordered some very competitively priced rocker arms and shafts, manufactured in Germany, from Carpoint. Their rocker arms also come with adjusters.
I immediately received a confirmation email and they shipped the next day. A follow up email stated the order should be received in 4 to 5 days! In the days of no response businesses and months waiting for orders, I have to say that this is encouraging… |
