1972 911T with E motor value?

Buddy has it in NY, no-rust (that is evident) stock car other than the upgraded engine, had the pan replaced years ago, he is curious of the approximate current value now.. White/Black interior.

Hey Gary. Hope all is well.

Prices vary dramatically- mostly about condition.

Some cars with needs would be in the 60-75k range

A stunner could be 120k pretty easily.

Easy to say he’s in between. 85-105 is probably a good bet, paint might not be perfect, decent interior but not perfect. Basically rust free, driver quality, engine has good numbers and service records.

72’s typically carry a bit of a premium.

It's a solid car, maybe a 7-8 quality wise. He is going to have a shop go through it and to be sure the fuel system is cleaned out before advertising as he hasn't been driving it a lot.

Ok, stop with the PM's please. I am not his agent nor will I put anyone in contact with him. I asked a question in the "Porsche Marketplace Discussion" forum, if you would like to add to what @blucille said please do, but do not contact me. If/when he wants to sell it he will place an ad... or you will see it on BAT.

A 1971 911 in NY that has no rust is a unicorn. Still worth a pretty penny, but my bet is a thorough inspection will yield some areas of concern.

I sold a 72 T a few years ago that needed restoration for $65k.

Nick, it's a 72 and I know the pan has been replaced, so it's fairly typical of a well cared for early car.

Cleaned up and running nicely he could sell something like that for close to six figures.

So incorrect motor (albeit much better) has no or minimal impact to value?
