Compulsory Post

I just started using this forum and this is the first thing I see:

In an effort to cut down on spam and scammers, access to Private Messaging and our Classifieds area will be enabled after you've made a few public posts.

So I am making a public post.

I was trying to access the classified section to see if I could find a plastic 911R handle--specifically one of the Ernie Wilberg versions--even happy to pay to borrow it--I want to print a copy just so I have something on the car. I like his because his has the dimples and is arguably the nicest copy--certainly that I know of.

Thanks,

Joshua

Hi thecogdesigns,

We've have an increase in spam/scam attacks on our Classifieds section so we have had to tighten up security a little bit to combat it. Your account has been set for full access now. Best of luck on your plastic handle search!

Welcome Joshua. WTB threads are ground zero for the scammers. Buyer beware when you start getting responses, as many of them will be fake.

If you respond to any thread, or post a thread of your own, roughly 30 - 40% of your PMs will be scams and I'm finding they're getting increasingly sophisticated. I had someone send a very well written "for sale" PM for a mag case 911/01 transmission including a proper serial number (with pics!).

Thanks so much for all of your responses--greatly appreciated! I've been reversing some parts for the 911R here and there to help move my project forward--door hinges and decklid hinges at the moment. I'll be keeping an eye out for a nice looking handle!
