911 tail ight lenses
Has anyone bought new Porsche lenses? I've noticed a trend where people think these things are made of gold on ebay. Just callled my local dealer and the correct ones for my 82 sc are $204 a piece retail but I get a break on that being a shop. Are the current offering from Porsche inferior to these so call NOS sets people want loads of money for? I don't see any kind of date coding on my current ones.

How important is it that the lenses say BOSCH on them? If it is not terribly important, many $’scan be saved. Show me classics in St. Louis has them on eBay (new items) and fit very well

It's becoming less important lol. I will probably still order the dealer ones. It's amazing how many parts for these cars Porsche still sells.

If you don't care about the BOSCH markings, the lenses from EuroLens are very high quality, probably better than what Porsche sells today, and much less $$.

FYI I ordered a set of taillight buckets and lenses for our 73 914 from Porsche and they were not Hella, but were a reasonable price and looked great.

People who aren't doing a full blown original resto and pay for those old crusty lenses are wild.
I won't be putting the original tail housings back in my car either since I got a pretty sweet 3D printed set. Tons of suppliers now, I went with URO Parts for the lenses and they are clean.
