Targa Top
How much should it cost to put new vinyl on a 1985 911 targa top? Just talking about the external vinyl, the headliner is fine.

The kits are like $500 or so, iirc. They turn up on eBay from time to time. To get it rebuilt by a pro is $800-$1000, iirc, using that guy in New Jersey.

To replace just the skin, the materials should run less than $200. Do a search and you'll find some sources and nice how-to's on recovering.
Dan at Cars Inc. NJ is considered one of the best with Targa tops and recommends a full rebuild on all but the newest tops. |
