1968 Soft Window Targa Value help
Looking into a 1968 Soft Window Targa 912 and I would like to know what the current values are ranging.
Car is an older restoration with a fresh <2000 miles ago trans and engine rebuild. Everything else seems complete and correct. Probably an 8 or 9 out of 10. I know it's hard to determine without seeing the car, just looking for ball park figures. What does Excellence's last Market Value Report say? Thanks, Mark |
Well, the market is rising, being dragged up by the 911 values. However the market probably isn't high enough to support a lot of the restorations that are happening. I've seen quite a few brokers speculating that the values are rising up to $30K, and they aren't there yet.
If the car is the one I think.... it appears pretty nice, but because so few cars get sold, a value is hard to place on them. You get too high and then you might as well get a 911. I wouldn't pay more than $20K for the car. PM me if you like regarding the car and the seller. Eric |
I seem to remember RetroTech had one that sat for quite a while last year for around $18k ( I think). So I think <$20k is a good target.

This is tough. A nice car a top car could easily be worth $30k.
