Market
There are some great points here...but sunroof made a very good one. If you buy a northeastern older 911 (which is the case) most will have lived the hard life of salt and resultant poor roads so look south it isn't that hard. Many pelicanites can help you with cars . Shuck and jive artists are everywhere though ....no great revelation......So where does this go.
Understand history of car...too many owners and poor mechanics make for a used up hooker ! Stay away from dealers and flippers... Market is on your side BUT ....enthusiast owners of good cars know it. While I have issues with some "market value gurus" they normally have one piece of advice....a premium car will generally make you a good vehicle. .....just make sure it is (premium) . Some premium sellers are in the "old " market ......same as houses if you must sell prices are down. Excellence mag has values but it is only a guideline ...thats the one I distrust but can give you insight . Talk to many shops ...they know when customers with good cars are gettng ready to sell. ONly go to guys with good reputations though. 84 -89 Carerra is great value with lower miles and finally.....an old adage...you can't buy miles. Good luck
