want to sell engine cheap, no idea at what price though, help
 

Background: I work at a place called european motor cars and I started working here about 8 months ago and there has been this 911-s 2.7 engine sitting in the back for forever, we've called the guy multiple time for him to come and get it and told him we we're going to sell it yet he never came, we're going to give him one last call and if he doesn't pick it up by next week I'm selling it on here cheap.

Info: 1977 911-s 2.7 engine with everything on it, oil tubes, heat exchangers, and all lines (maybe a few missing, haven't checked for all yet), unknown mileage, looks to be in good condition (no rust except for surface rust on the heat exchangers), engine i.d. is 6279024, factory it had 165 horsepower at 5800 rpm, 255 torque

Price: throw some offers my way, It doesnt have to be a top dollar offer since I've got no money invested what so ever, we just want it out of the shop.......don't know whether to sell it for parts or whole, lets see what kinda response I get. Worse comes to worse I'll part it out for low ball offers if there's no takers, we just want it gone. Let the game begin haha.

1) that TQ number is WAY off, unless measured in NM. 165hp, no more than that in tq.

11 blad fan or still 5 blade?
Just motor or is exhaust still connected?

77's were more stressed due to fan and thermal reactors. Not a big market for these motors. last i checked, in unknown condition, $1.5-2.5K.

appreciate it, i had one of the porsche master techs tell me off the top of his head so he could be wrong...he usually isnt but everyone makes mistakes........no fan attached so no blades haha, exhaust is connected, well actually just the heat exchangers are, not the whole exhaust

Nevermind, It's a no go, the engine is no longer on the market, the orginal owner finally pulled through and said he'd be there Monday to come pick it up......Hope he doesnt show up....
