Mocha Brown SC price help
What would you pay for a well kept 1980 SC coupe with 50k miles. Its Mocha over saddle The car has has some history from the present owner.
Sits on 16x6&7 Fuchs and sports seats. I love the Mocha color, but not so much the sadddle. If i buy it I would change it to Mocha interior. Owner wants a high number, but I think realistically its a $16k car. ![]() ![]() |

Original paint? I would not change the interior you will wreck the value for resale. Rust? where is it located?

1980 sc
You think a mint 50k mile SC in an unusual color with sport seats is a $16k car? I wish you had control over the used Ferrari market as well - I'd love a '62 250 GT SWB for around $100k!
These cars are getting to the point that they will appreciate because they're nice drivers and have the iconic 911 shape. That car should be in the $20k+ range - if not now, it will be in a few years. I think that's a great color combo that is rarely seen. How many new '80 Mocha on saddle 911's are they making these days?? If you are going to repaint and change the interior on a car, please select a high mile, well worn SC (or better yet, a 996!!) with poor paint to change. A low mile original car is always worthy of preservation as is. |

I love the color combo.
Only thing that would worry me is the head studs with the low mileage and if it has the original rubber centered clutch. About $18-20K is about right if it passes a PPI with flying colors.

Be lucky, happy, and in a hurry to pay less than $20K.

I actually consider Brown to be very fashionable at the moment and although probably would not bring a premium, however it certainly does not hurt value at all...

Funny you say that because as a recent buyer, I was willing to pay a bit more for a handful of niche colors including brown. I noticed AIC had a brown '86 for sale a few weeks after I bought mine and it went under agreement quite quickly.

I love Mocha Brown. I agree, change the interior to match. I've seen one with that combo. Very nice.

I agree. 20 is a good deal with a clean ppi. If buyer is patient he could probably do better

Is that a non-sunroof car?

Brown is the new in color even on newer cars. Personally I have not talked myself into a owning a brown car yet, but if you do buy please don't change it camel sports look very nice. Under 21k seems like a fair deal for both parties.

So did you buy it?
It looks like the car has been sold.

No. Sadly I didn't have time to get down there this week. I hope the car went to someone on here.
