1991 964 C2 - Deland Nissan - Anyone know it?

Does anyone know about the 1991 C2 listed below? It has been on e-bay several times with bids up to about $16k, but not sold. I think it was originally listed at $22,888.

What wheels are those, any good?

Is Ivan Roman a known Porsche mechanic.

This would be my first Porsche. I know it is a Tiptronic. And black is not my favorite color. I am also in the midwest.

I recommend against tip for a "toy" car. You will lose the experience of an "old" car.

I had tip in a 2000 Boxster. This tip was about three generations advanced over that in the 964, and I was using it as a daily driver in and around the hills of SF; I loved it for that use and in that car.
You will find the car almost sale proof when it is time to move on.

Anyone have thought on what a good price is on this car?

Any shops in the area to do a PPI? Deland is 20 SW of Daytona.

BTW, I think I saw in the Carfax some sort of minor/moderate damage in 1997.

Thanks

Minor to moderate damage? Tiptronic and a color you don't like. That's the trifecta...Run away from this car. Tim

I can understand that in your location 911s are probably scarce but don't use that as a reason to make too many compromises you'll regret later. Listen to what the folks here are saying - you don't want to walk into the garage and look at a car that you don't like (I'm sure you'll love the Porsche experience in general). It will bother you later on! One concession is okay but don't stack 'em up.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and the suggestions. I will pass on this car and keep looking for a 964 coupe. BTW, I do want a tiptronic.

Thanks

For God's sake, don't tell the seller that. They didn't build very many, so they are rare, BUT - buyers for them are even more rare.

In the August issue of "Excellence", Sloan lists two 993s.
1 '98 18k miles Tip & Targa $53K
2 '97 23k miles - - - - - - - $80K
#2 does have some extra goodies, and #1 takes a hit for the Targa, but how much of the 23K delta is due to the Tip?
