1991 C2 coupe - any comments?

Any comments on this car on e-bay?

How much does the owner doing his own work affect value?

Anybody know of a good place to do a PPI near Forestburgh NY?

The owner says the car was previously up on e-bay, but I do not remember seeing it, and I have been watching for quite a while.

Owner probably should have done a 5-speed conversion as well when the engine was out for all the other work.

If I talked to the guy over the phone and found out that he was a car fanatic like me, then I would say him doing his own work is a positive and should not detract at all from the value! I am a lot like this guy. I have my own "hobby" shop for repairing my cars and I do all of my own work. I am extremely picky and meticulous and take my time since I am not "on the clock" or pressured by a customer to rush through a job. I personally believe that the quality of my work is well above any of my local shops and I make sure that I maintain the simple things (plugs, caps, rotors, oil, trans oil, etc.) much more frequently than what the factory recommends. The cars that I've bought that were in crap condition were usually owned by people who simply did NOT maintain their cars and were clueless. This guy sounds like the exact opposite and would be the kind of person I would prefer to buy from.

You snooze, you lose - Car was sold 15 minutes before I talked to the guy. Did not talk to the guy a lot, but only possible issue was that this was his first Porsche build.

I wondering if posting cars I am interested on here is a good idea, may just be alerting other potential buyers.

So, I am still on the lookout for a 964 C2 coupe tiptronic. A driver. No guards red, black or white. No white interiors either.

Probably best not to share ALL the details. Like location or pricing.

Great bargains will be snapped up by flippers. On the "flip" side, what looks like a bargain at first could be a basket case underneath. So caveat emptor.

People that are actively looking for cars will find them. It's not like the car was "hidden" on eBay. We're all doing the same searches and using the same tools. It's a matter of timing, luck, persistence, knowing what you're looking for, and striking quickly when you see it.
