1977 Carrera3 (RHD) moving to the US

After 6 yrs in the UK, my wife and I are moving back to the States to reside in northern NJ. I've had a RHD 77 Carrera 3 for about a year and some and have decided to bring it with me. Its my first 911.

Just looking to introduce myself, especially to other north american C3 owners. Any advice on tuners familiar w/ the C3 idiosyncracies? Good classic porsche shops in NJ? Any euro-parts I ought to stock up on while shipping is cheap?

Can't help you with Jersey but you won't have any prob's getting parts in the US for your Carrera, so need not worry. Loads of friendly advice here & I'm sure someone will muck in re; your area.

Folks on the continent are "somewhat" familiar with right hand drive limitations. Most in the US don't even know it exists. I'm not sure how special your C3 is to you, but I would pull the ballot box handle (twice) to selling and replacing.

@vracer--absolutely understand! I spent about 1 yr looking for this c3 so I don't expect to swap for a LHD drive c3 before coming over.
This one may go to the grave with me, but I'm comfortable with that.

What town are you settling in? Regardless, there are Porsche specialists in the area so you should be able to find one to your liking.
