Condition is a big part of the equation but so is dealer (seller) integrity- so if they are claiming that the 20k miles is legit they better have the documentation to back it up otherwise you can't believe anything they say about the products they sell. Most dealers play way too many games. Any ROW car with mileage claims better come with good records or the original speedo.

I feel like so many of these cars are headed for a full restoration. I can see a complete intact car miles just would not matter.

My experience: Mileage only matters for the 1% cars. These are the unicorn cars with bonafide, 1 owner, all records, all paperwork and low miles. These are the cars that great the crazy butch premiums.

For all the rest, it's a function of correctness and completeness. Because beyond the 1% cars, they're all resto candidates.

Ok Paul... A title is a legal certificate that states actual miles at purchase. So if it states 20,000 miles end of story. This is a non issue with Ferrari's and it's not a issue for 930s.

On the subject of odometer readings lets not also forget many of these cars are on CarFax. My 1981 turbo was picked up in Texas in the infancy of CarFax in 1985.. followed the car to Nevada and to California where you are guaranteed to get mileage on any street driven California Turbo due to smog check requirements every two years in the greater metropolitan counties.

Interior looks scruffy. Cabs seem to not have the audience the coupes have.

Tony,
This is not true. You better check state laws regarding cars once they reach a specific age. I don't know how they are in Indiana, you're a dealer and should know, but in a lot of states, cars become "mileage exempt" once they reach an age threshold. SERVICE RECORDS MEAN EVERYTHING. In states that have mandatory state vehicle inspections, mileage can be monitored through CARFAX and other Vehicle History recording agencies. Title Mileage means squat and is the last thing a buyer should reference on older vehicles.

Reasoning here. Obviously if you have a title that states say 100k miles then a odo that reads 40k miles that would be false. Thats all Im saying. Yes most if not all 930s are mileage exempt by now so this is a non issue. Again Condition not miles. The only time miles matter are on cars with say 5k miles. These cars cant be faked. You cant fake ORIGINALITY. And once originality is GONE its gone forever. No amount of restoring can bring that back.

Ultimately what we are look for is a nice correct car. This car is very nice and quite correct. Another example of condition over miles.

5K Miles? This is really the wrong place for this thread.....just sayin' (I know...beating a dead horse).

Who is this "we" you speak of, and what does "correct" mean?

To me, a nice and correct 930 is one with 500+ horsepower and a/c that will turn your nutz to ice cubes in high 90s weather. I've got the a/c part covered, but the horsepower dept has a long way to go!
