RS engine no # case
I am going to put up for sale my motor from RS #1071. In 1986 Axel Kessler, in Germany, replaced the damaged case from motor # 1041 w/ non numbered factory case, along w/ new mfi pump and re assembled as new, have invoice of build (in German). I recently pulled the motor from my 71S, going back to 2.2 original motor, it ran just as strong as when I bought the RS in 1990. What might be a real value for the 2.7 motor, not some "pie in the sky" ? Never did a leak down or compression test before removal, had not thought of ever selling this motor. Reality is, the 71S needs body and paint so funding has to come from this.
