1974 911 just purchased
I just added a nice 74 normal to my collection, car is in nice condition and have know the seller for many years. Repainted 14 plus years ago to red was orig coffee color.
Couldn't get good pictures due to the garage size but could only find a little rust bubbles by the windshield rubber, started after a little persuasion. He just had the engine tuned and new battery installed. Has 15" fuches with good tires. Picked it up for under 14,000.00 but will leave where it is due to the snow, really looking forward to some decent weather. Good buy???

Congrats sounds like a fun car.
74 is the best year for MY, and one in what originally sounds like chocolate brown which is becoming very desirable. Depending on the rust the car could be a bargain. We need pics and more details. Fix and enjoy it ! |

Congratulations Larry!
Snow can't be gone too soon. Sounds like a good price, dependent on condition, of course. Post some pics when you can. Thanks, Matt

The rust by the base of windshield.... people will say that means rust is everywhere else but it might not be that bad from my looking at a window out repair in another 74.
Need some pics...

Sounds Nice, Price seems reasonable, especially if the 2.7 engine had some of those problem areas fixed. Im looking at a 77 very nice/clean with a engine out rebuild for $18K..Good Luck

i truely don't think rust is an issue, i have seen the car for several years and its clean. The fellow selling it has deteriorating health so wanted to sell.
The car has been maintained by a couple of local mechanics that I know so all should be well. I have some pictures but onr on my Blackberry and am not sure how to post them. Pors1968 yes unfortunately or fortunately I sold the 64 to make room for the 89 cab but now another shows up and couldn;t resist. I am not sure what was done to the engine but not much oil under it, going to hope for the best. The repaint looks good but the should have done a better tape job.

Looks pretty good.
Seems that the fuel filter has been updated and the plug wires have been replaced. Notice how the car has made it 40 years without someone hacking holes in the door panels for speakers. A rarity.
