In Car Phone System

I believe this is the right place to ask this but please tell me if I'm mistaken.

I'm thinking of sell my Fujitsu Commander iix in car cellular phone system from my 944. I haven't seen any for sale or listings, although I have seen them mentioned. What are they worth and are there alot of them around? Thanks for the help, here's some pics of what I have.

throw it out. or maybe try and hang onto it for another 30 years or so. as a telephone, you can't hook them up anymore (digital vs. analog technology), and in most states it's illegal to hold the phone to your ear while driving anyway. maybe in 30 years it'll be worth something as an antique.

Don't throw it out! It's a period piece and there are people now who would pay money for it, I'm sure.

Why not start by posting it on this forum in the Porsche used parts listings?

It may not fetch much, but someone out there will buy this. There's a market for everything.

Well it sounds like I might list it then. But I have no idea what price to put on it, any ideas???
I haven't really seen anything to compare it with.

There's actually a (small) market for these. That's maybe a $15 phone.

Hmm...well I was hoping it was going to be a stronger price for them, but glad to know it's not considered junk.

Once in a blue moon, you'll run across high-end 80s and 90s cars with these brick-sized artifacts still in place. I think they look great, and if I had that thing, I'd put it in my Porsche just for giggles.

That's just me, though!

Well I got to say when it was in the car and I gave a friend a ride they always got a kick out of it, maybe I should throw it back in for fun.
