914 V8 Values?
Hey all -
did a search but could not find much discussed before - what is the range of values for a 914 with the V8 conversion? Let's set the range from total hack jobs on the low end, to sorted and big-track ready racers at the other..... any thoughts? I've seen low end projects in the $5k range, the one I'm looking at has been done right, very high quality build using 911 front suspension, cheby V8, renegade kit, nice plumbing, etc. The orig tub is rust free as far as I could tell, dash is even nice! so what's the range, and more importantly, what's the high water mark on these things? thanks SmileWavy td |
guess
about half the build cost in parts as a used value what could be the cost to build one does not relate to value as a used sale esp the value of pro labor northstar could be a lighter cheap v8 with 4 cam 4valve credit but it is hard to beat chevy for cheap hp |
Had one sit locally under a tree in the snow for 2 years here....Had a Alum Buick (215 I think?)....Had a full roll cage........BUT, it was a real rust bucket......Owner wanted $2K, I wouldn't offer $1,500 and he finally took $1,000 when he needed money to bail out of jail.....I had many Pic's. Think all have been deleted now...

I have seen a lot of V8 914s in the $5,000-$10,000 range, with the real variance in price being the degree of rust on the car.
