Fair price, 1990 C4

I can't find any for sale to compare to. It's a 1990 C4 Carrera, 2nd owner, CA car, 155k miles, no mods, white on black. Clean and in really good shape but not restored. Up to date maintenance. The only ugly parts are the worn floor mats, a couple little tears in the drivers seat at the seams, and the cables for the top have stripped so I've been doing the 'simi manual' opening and closing of the top. Assuming a PPI would show a decent condition of the car, what's a realistic listing price?
Thanks.

Um, just searched ebay. Two that look just like mine for north of 43k - I had no idea. Those I think are C2 and mine is a C4, and those look 'perfect', but gees. Prices have gone up.

C2 manual brings more buyer than c4 that's for sure.

No way you're getting 43k for a cab with 155k miles, but if the car is nice and clean and well maintained it's likely a 30k car.

I have been poking around on a few 964 coupes and there are some out there with higher miles in the $40's but they're not selling. I have tracked down 3 or 4 100k plus cars where the seller wants over $40 and they are not going anywhere.

About 6 or 7 weeks ago a 93 or 94 coupe with north of 100k on it sold for $35 off Rennlist and then the buyer put it out on ebay starting at $45. Ran it a few weeks on eBay dropping the price to 39 and still has the car.

Good to know. Thank you. I'll put some new tires on it, enjoy the CA weather for a bit, then decide.

I think thats a great idea... I have been on the fence about my own 88 car. Its so nice that I don't want to start messing with it. You know what? I took it out for some hard driving this weekend and its really fun, I enjoy owning it and even if I got a silly high price what would I replace it with?

Good way to test the market and get unsolicited offers. Might even sell it just by parking it while you eat Sunday brunch after a nice drive.

That's funny. What got me thinking of selling was the stranger who offered me 20k for it at the gas station.
