Thanks, guys. I just got done writing a massive check for the "while I'm in there" refurbishment of the Elan and I think I'm going to tinker with it for a few years before I realize I made a horrible mistake by selling my most reliable, most complete, and cleanest car. The Elan is more fun than the 911 but my logical side isn't certain its worth the trade-off in "get in and drive it"-ability.

However, like any 50 year-old British car, there is still more work to do and I feel more comfortable working on it as I don't see it as an investment as I have increasingly viewed the 911. It is nice because it has appreciated so well under my ownership, but my intent was never to make any money on it, and I've started to question if I should drive it because it adds mileage and it's killing the enthusiast in me.

I'll be back soon, I'm sure, and I'm kind of talking myself into it, but I'm feeling too stretched thin on old toys with a 16 month old running around the house.

Very nice car. What is the mileage on it? Did I miss it in the add?

Thank you!

I've had quite a bit of interest, even more than I anticipated, so I expect it will sell.

Have to hand it to those guys at RMC, they find some of the craziest Porsches there are. That thing screams 1980's. Good luck at that price. Give em a few months and they'll drop the price major. If asked me, its an 84 cab, with an ugly body kit. Its probably over priced by $140 or so grand.

The Hemmings one is advertised as an automatic with G50, thus the high sticker.

Shades of Miami Vice. Ugly doesn't even begin to cover this monstrosity.
