Porsche 914 Limited Edition "Bumblee" | eBay
The photoshopped pictures make it really hard to assess the true condition of that car. I hate when dealers play that game. It's also missing a few things, especally the totally unobtanium sidescript in sunflower. Furthermore, photoshop aside, the repaint looks incorrect to me. Too bright and not enough orange peel.

The first car you linked lacks enough photos to know for sure, but the few shown suggest it is a very nice car.

Is the LE a better investment? Probably. But I think it would take more money put in to get all of that out of it long term. That dealer writes a lot of fluff about the model. The individual car is less than stellar.

One thing about the 75 is he backdated the bumpers. While it looks better, if one is looking for value in originality that hurts it. But bumpers are bolt ons. The engine in the car is teh hotness. Would cost a lot to add that performance to any 914. The buyer needs to be interested in a hot 914 to buy that car. There are 914 guys out there like that. But this is more of a 911 board and for the same money I think most reading this would buy a 911SC or Carrera driver before the 914.

Good info.
For $30G's, I agree most of us would prefer an 911 variant.
That's what made me chuckle.

Hysterical...you're right.

Tell them thanks but I think I'll buy a 997 GT3 for that kind of money.

I love this quote...

"There were 958 of these produced between 2004 and 2005 and most were turned into dedicated track cars"

Really??? Most??? and how did you come up with that fact?

I'm thinking low 40s if everything checks out mechanically due to the lower mileage for a 964. You can tell by the photos the vehicle is in drivers condition.

I saw the 89 coupe they have there.....it was a scary car. Lipstick on a swine. They started it on eBay at I belive 69k. Like that car this 964 is in no danger of going anywhere anytime soon.

It could also be the wife saying the car has to go. "Alright honey. You win. I'll put it up for sale."

Later . . .

"I tried to sell it, see. The market just isn't good right now."

I think we also need a "why did they do that? Why??" thread.

In the meantime I give you this car, whose price is as bad as the mods

From the ad: "OVER 200K INVESTED"

Should read: "OVER 200k BURNED WITH FIRE"

Wow thank goodness they ordered it with the rare Tachometer option and especially the "clear windshield" option. I hate when people order cars without the clear windshield option it just makes avoiding objects in your path a PITA.

That price is hysterical
