Hahaha! I actually think somoene is really having some fun with this one. Like that guy that was looking for money on kickstarter to make himself a sandwich, or whatever that story was. Maybe trying to prove the insanity of the market, or something.

Well, if it is a joke, at least he's consistent. Here's his other car for sale - the '73 he referenced. I really love this part: "they were the nicest Porsche's I have ever had." (I would love (hate) to see the other cars his restoration shop produced!!)

Not so much the price that makes me laugh, but on a rebuilt and modified 1980 930 with 107k priced at $60k,

Quote:
According to their recently released price update Hagerty says I've priced my car $109K too low. So, to those who've called and sent PMs (and to those who haven't, for that matter) if you're a serious buyer you might wish to make a decision before I change my mind, which I'm pretty close to doing.
Girl, please. I hope to see it sit on the classifieds with 2 years worth of bumps and BTTs at $170k.

This latest nonsense from Hagerty makes me laugh. I think they have now lost any little bit of credibility they had regarding 911 Turbo valuations, right?!

Hagerty Evaluations are out.

The stock response from bubble deniers/current owners counting on retiring on their car is that the slope is actually a normal looking incline back several years, it just took Hagerty until now to recognize their real value.

IIRC that car has been on the market for many many months.

It probably makes me a bad person that I get a level of satisfaction out of seeing cocky sellers sit on their wares for a long time.

Nothing cocky about that seller (Norm) - his "come and get it before I change my mind" comment was meant as humor.

Nope - he just decided to sell it and posted the listing yesterday.

Just noticed this post mocking a statement in my ad. Apparently not all of us recognize sarcasm when we see it.
