According to their recently released price update Hagerty says I've priced my car $109K too low.
If so, my bad. It's not the first time I've seen those sentiments in eBay/classified ads.

Perhaps it was less sarcasm than it was my way of mocking Hagerty's 930 valuation estimate, something that's actually quite deserving of mockery.

Oh, excellent. You're a rare breed of seller/owner these days who doesn't flaunt Hagerty's values like they're divine wisdom passed unto Moses.

Pretty goofy...

I'll bet they are trying to convey to the prospective buyer that: "We've analyzed the market very carefully and to be sure we make a small profit and you, the buyer, pay fair market value, $525.8k is the correct price".

I'm sure that if this poor SC could drive itself, it would run off a cliff just to be rid of those rims

Porsche 911 | eBay
This car has been on eBay for about a year. It is a total POS. The VIN number they have in the text of the listing is not complete. I called and asked for the VIN number last fall and it took 3 calls to get the seller send me the VIN number. Thats when the stories started. I asked about the"No paintwork" claim and mentioned about the photo of the door jamb sticker clearly showing lazy tape marks and over spray ( they have since removed that photo). I was told I didnt know what I was talking about.

I would hate to see any unsuspecting person get scammed by this seller.

I don't think it's that crazy. There are very very few, if any, 996 gt3s with low miles that haven't been abused to death on the track and without funky track mods, rollcages, schroths etc. I can see one trading in the mid to high 100s not too far down the line.

I believe the 996 GT3 will go up some day but $200k by 2016. Come on. I think the real market value is around $90k for that vehicle right now due to color and condition. Yes most are abused, track rats, but we are still talking about 996's in a inflated Porsche market.

Don't forget, 1995 was the last year of air-cooled production. That's gotta be worth something!

Watching the 911 turbo market never hurts. This one is in line (or under) what I have seen in several instances over the last year.

It seems that any turbo under $100k ask deserves to be.

You & I both can recite many just like this that have sold for more than this asking price.

Wow ... that makes the 87 turbo with 47k on it for $87k I missed look like a heck of a deal.

No offense to the seller but I dont see that car selling at that price anytime soon. I dont see it selling north of $100k but hey thats just my 2 cents.

I have seen plenty langiush in the market in the high $90's and over $100k
