I head that Deez has booked a flight to Loverland, CO and he's bringing his running gear!

I hate that we have that in common.
But running after 40 is the equivalent to volley ball match in your pants.
But that's better than when they get caught and pulled through...

TMI??

back on topic

here are a few that very well may be priceless. RUF 993TT, a track prepared 07 GT3 and an ultra rare 964 based 930S turbo slant nose. the owner of the 930 slant claims he has been offered in excess of 800k for it.

this is a shop I am very "loosely" affiliated with visiting daily so seeing exotic porsches is nothing new, today however was def a special kinda day.

Nice cars but the 993T Ruf would need to be a Ruf vin car to command very high prices, don't get me wrong as a conversion is still worth a pretty penny but nowhere near being priceless.

The 07 track prepared car is definetly not priceless

The last car on your list....if genuine is a 1994 Turbo 3.6 Flacbau....worth serious money...so the owner may be telling the truth on the $800k offer...those have been selling past the $1 mil mark....but still not priceless....just a really high price

No doubt, and to think that all that ridiculous $$$ is spent by guys that have no intention of driving the cars. Butt like 930XXXX points out, some people get all the pleasure they need out of them by owning, detailing them, etc. (48 miles driven last year?!?! ), so each to their own (see, I can be nice, too! ).

Not a car, but come on Porsche.
Replacing suspect fuel and oil lines while the engine is out for a transmission rebuild.
Looked up this little part

Yep, the Porsche pricing on replacement parts is downright insulting.

That's one reason that I have parts re-furbished locally whenever I can (plus is always nice to patronize independent shops when possible). For example, I had the three, primary engine compartment fuel lines re-done at an old school hydraulic shop (re-crimped new hose onto the original, still good fittings) . . . cost about 1/3 of Porsche price, and there's a good chance that the hose and assembly work are of higher quality.

How about Porsche's price for the overboost relay that goes in the mid-late 1980's Turbos - $250 for a dinosaur tech, analog relay - utter nonsense!

^^^ Yea, No way I'm buying that. It was too ridiculous to not share.
I did get all new fuel lines from Len on here. Saved several hundred over Porsche lines.
I should just get my own hydraulic line crimper. Pirtek is sending me a bill almost every month as it is.

That's a part where the crimped on, shorty hose is ridiculously overkill - no pressure of any sort there (other than crankcase pressure which is very slight) - a hose clamp works perfectly. Nothing you don't already know, though.

Is Len still doing the lines? Did he "retire" to do the line business or is he actually gone?

^^^ He is still doing them. I don't know if he still works. He makes the fuel lines at home. I have his e-mail if you need it. PM me. I'll respond this time
